It appears that Inter Miami CF have found a partner to sponsor their jerseys ahead of their inaugural MLS season.

United Kingdom newspaper The Sun reported that the club has agreed to a sponsorship deal worth over $200 million (£180 million) with Qatar Airways. The report says that the Qatar, which previously sponsored Barcelona for two seasons, name will be put on club’s home and away kits and merchandise.

Messages to Inter Miami about the sponsorship deal weren’t immediately returned.

Pictures of the jerseys with the reported sponsorship have leaked online, with “Qatar Airways” placed across the chest below the club’s crest.

Qatar, a peninsula bordering Saudi Arabia on the Persian Gulf, will be the host of 2022 World Cup.
