Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended Tuesday's inauguration of the third ordinary session of the first legislative term, corresponding to the 52nd annual session of the Shura Council.

Sheikh Tamim lambasted the Israeli attack on the Palestinian people and said 'enough is enough' during his opening address.

During the 52nd annual session of the Shura Council, he said, "We are saying enough is enough.". It’s untenable for Israel to be given unconditional green. It shouldn’t be allowed in our time to use cutting off water and preventing medicine and food,” he said, referring to Israel’s cutting off of the basic amenities to the people of Gaza and their sustained bombardment of civilian areas.

In addition, HH The Amir spoke about Qatar's continued role as a peacemaker.

Using a balanced approach between our principles and interests, our foreign policy aims to assume a constructive role in promoting peace and resolving disputes peacefully.

HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of HH The Amir, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani attended the inauguration.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar and dignitaries attended the event.
