H.H. Sheikha Moza Resigns As UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador

According to Al Jazeera, on 15 November 2023, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has withdrawn from her position as a goodwill ambassador with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Since 2003, she has worked with the UN to support education.
The report mentioned that sources told Al Jazeera that the move came after H.H. Sheikha Moza said UNESCO had failed to carry out its role in rescuing and providing relief to the children of Gaza, who are the primary victims of Israel's ongoing bombardment campaign.
As per sources, H.H. Sheikha Moza announced her decision during a summit in Istanbul on 15 November 2023.
