The “Metrash2” service enables citizens and residents to obtain a wide range of Ministry of Interior (MoI) services while enjoying the convenience of using their cell phones such as:
Traffic Services.
Visit Visa Services for Personal and Corporate Sponsorships.
Resident Permit (RP) Services.
Exit Permit (EP) Services.
Electronic Gate (e-Gate) Service.
General-purpose Queries.
The MoI will add other services that will automatically appear on the Metrash2 service list.
Online Activation Instructions:
1. Log into the Self-Service system by using your Smart ID, then select the language option.
2. Select the ‘Personal services of the smart card holder’ option, then choose Metrash2.
3. Enter your cell phone number, then press the ‘Register into Service’ icon.
4. The two-part service activation key is displayed; the first part will be printed by the 'Self Service Kiosk', and the second part will be sent via SMS to your registered cell phone number.
5. Use your cell phone browser to open the Metrash2 URL, then click DOWNLOAD or INSTALL.
6. After downloading, Metrash2 system will appear, click the system icon.
7. A welcome screen will be displayed, select the language: Arabic or English.
8. In case of first-time use, the Service Activation screen is displayed. Enter the required data.
9. The login screen appears where you enter your password. The main Metrash2 service menu is displayed for you to start using it.
Follow these steps to subscribe to the Metrash2 through SMS:
1. Send a text message to 92992.
2. To activate: M2R<QID><ID Expiry Date> To cancel: M2D<QID><ID Expiry Date>
3. You will receive a text message containing a URL to download the service and the two part activation codes.
4. Use your cell phone browser to open the Metrash2 URL.
5. The software will automatically recognize your cell phone type. Click Download or Install.
6. After downloading, Metrash2 system will appear, click the system icon.
7. Run Metrash2 and enter the required data. After confirmation, the login screen appears where you enter your password.
8. The main Metrash2 service menu is displayed for you to start using it.
Additional Information:
1. The applicant shall have a valid Smart ID.
2. The cell phone number should be registered under the applicant’s name.
3. Registration will be done through the 'Self-Service Kiosk'. For locations' list, please visit the MoI website.
4. Follow these steps to download Metrash2 on another device:
5. Download the service on a second device, run it, enter your ID and press “next”.
6. Enter the password registered on the first device, then press “next”.
7. You will receive an SMS on the registered device containing a one-time password (OTP).
8. Enter the OPT and press “next” to run Metrash2 on the new (second) device.
