In 2023, the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) successfully executed relief and development operations totaling QR 483 million, positively impacting the lives of 8.7 million beneficiaries globally.

This substantial contribution underscores QRCS's commitment to humanitarian and social services, aligning with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 and solidifying Qatar's prominent position in the international humanitarian landscape.

At the local level, QRCS implemented diverse year-round and seasonal programs, benefiting 1,062,917 individuals at a cost of QR 12,776,643.

These initiatives included community care projects supporting financially challenged families, educational assistance for underprivileged students, healthcare aid for vulnerable patients, and assistance for individuals facing economic hardships.

Furthermore, community development initiatives encompassed vocational training and FabLab programs for penitentiary inmates, environmental awareness and recycling workshops for children, distribution of gifts to impoverished children, and active participation in university and professional events.

QRCS concluded 2023 with a strong volunteer base of 29,645 individuals who received training and contributed to numerous voluntary assignments throughout the year.

In alignment with public health policies, QRCS's Medical Affairs Division collaborated with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to operate health centers for workers and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for events and facilities.

The Training and Development Center offered various professional education courses, including health education for workers and the public, COVID-19 prevention awareness campaigns, and participation in health exhibitions.

In total, health care and education services benefited 1,732,129 individuals, primarily expatriate workers, with a budget of QR 316,743,049.

Internationally, QRCS extended its humanitarian reach, implementing projects worth QR 154,175,653, aiding 5,973,734 people in 27 countries.

These projects covered diverse sectors such as health care, shelter, food security, livelihoods, water and sanitation, and education. QRCS responded to disasters and crises through its Disaster Information Management Center (DIMC), activated 14 times in 2023.

Noteworthy initiatives included medical convoys, disaster response efforts for events like the Syria-Turkey earthquake and conflict in Sudan, and the launch of the 1st QRCS Annual Scientific Conference, focusing on managing noncommunicable diseases.

The year also saw the successful execution of the 9th Disaster Management Camp (DMC-9), a comprehensive training event graduating 300 participants in various humanitarian and relief skills from Qatari government organizations, NGOs, the private sector, and national and international societies.
